Ball Bearing Units
Ball bearing unit is the common term used by Japanese manufacturers for ready-to install ball bearing units made up of a roller bearing and a respective housing.
The interior design of the ball bearing inserts of the ball bearing units correspond to the known deep groove ball bearings sealed on both sides of the bearing series 62... or 63... in accordance with DIN 625. The ball bearing units have a deviating bore tolerance, however. This permits a loose fit on shafts with h-tolerance and thus makes assembly easier.
Modern manufacturers supply ball bearing units with different types of fastening on the shaft. This can be by means of grub screws with inner hex (UC, SB), eccentric collar (SA, HC), adapter sleeve (UK) or the classic version with a fitting seat (UC, SA, SB, HC and CS). The standard version is manufactured with bearing slackness C3 and is not marked with C3 added on the bearing.
