Self-aligning ball bearing

Self-aligning bearings are bearings with 2 tracks on the inner ring and jointly convex tracks on the outer ring. Due to this construction, self-aligning bearings have angular freedom. Light tilting of the shaft from the housing is possible. Therefore, they are best suitable for cases in which misalignments and shaft deflections could occur. Self-aligning bearings are produced with cylindrical and conical boreholes. In case of conical boreholes, a clamping sleeve is usually necessary for the assembly.

Sealed self-aligning bearings

Self-aligning bearings can also be ordered with 2RS seals. In this case, they have a standard grease filling. The operating temperature ranges between –30° C and +110° C.
