Spherical roller bearings have rolling elements with a barrel-shaped cross-section, allowing alignment faults to be compensated better.
Spherical roller bearings are first choice for particularly rough conditions, impact-type loads and maximum radial and axial forces (e.g. in conveying technology, quarries, cement works, vibrating screens, ship drives, wind turbines etc.). Spherical roller bearings are available with cylindrical or tapered bore.
