Stainless steel grooved ball bearings
Stainless steel grooved ball bearings are noncorroding in humid air and various other media.
Their design corresponds to the standard grooved ball bearings made from roller bearing steel (100 CR6). The inner and outer bearing rings are provided with deep tracks without filling slot and a narrow bevelling plane between the tracks and the balls. This is why they can carry radial and axial loads in either direction, even in the case of an elevated speed of rotation.
Stainless steel grooved ball bearings have compareable running qualities to those of bearings made from common roller bearing steel. Their capacity is approximately 20% lower as in the case of common grooved ball bearings, since the hardness of common roller bearing steel cannot be obtained using stainless steel, due to material properties.
Grooved ball bearings are available in an open version (rare application) and in a sealed design for shaft diameters of 1 mm to 60 mm.
Miniature stainless steel bearings with flange at the outer ring are also available.
